A couple exchanging vows at the end of a dock over Pamlico Sound at sunset, with guests seated on either side

Hatteras Island · Outer Banks, NC

Get married at sunset
over Pamlico Sound.

Wake to sunrise over the Atlantic. Say your vows as the sun sets over the sound. Hatteras is narrow enough for both on the same day.

Why Hatteras

Far from everywhere, in the best way.

Edgecamp started with a love of this island. The wind. The water. The feeling of being a long way from everything else.

Hatteras is a thin strip of sand between the Atlantic and Pamlico Sound. Mornings belong to the ocean. Evenings belong to the sound, where the sun goes down over open water.

A wedding here is not a single evening. Your guests stay together, under the same few roofs, for the whole weekend. They share breakfast, walk the beach, and are still around for brunch on Sunday.

FAQ

Questions couples ask.

How many guests can you host?

Pamlico Station has 14 suites, and the Edgecamp Homes add more rooms, including a 14-bedroom flagship. How many guests fit depends on your plans and how you combine the two. Send Erica your guest count and she'll tell you how it works.

Can we book the whole hotel?

Yes. Full-hotel buyouts are available for weddings, so every suite at Pamlico Station goes to your guests.

Can we bring our own vendors?

Ask Erica. She'll go over how vendors work here and help you plan around your caterer, photographer, florist or band.

When is the best time of year?

It depends on what you want from the weekend. Tell Erica the season you have in mind and she'll talk you through it, including open dates.

How do guests get there?

Most guests fly into Norfolk International (ORF), about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive. Raleigh-Durham (RDU) is another option, but it's a longer drive. The last stretch is along NC Highway 12, down the island to Rodanthe.

Is your date still open?

Weekends here are limited. A quick call or text to Erica is the easiest way to find out.
